Valentine’s Day table decor

Valentine’s day, aka, the day of love is coming up and this year the biggest difference from any other typical night will be the simple Valentine’s Day table decor. We’re going to have a fun family dinner together and stay in. I have a few activities planned to have some family fun, but otherwise I’m looking forward to a low-key night in.

Valentine's Day table decor

It doesn’t take much to make your Valentine’s Day table decor special, and even though I found some amazingly beautiful tablescapes for future inspiration, I kept things simple and easy. I bought some grocery store flowers because Costco has been a madhouse lately, and dug up some cute pink plates. Otherwise, everything else is decor I already had around the house. I moved the paper mache LOVE letters from the mantel into the dining room to stick with the love theme of the day and used a roll of gold crepe paper for the fringe backdrop. This roll of crepe paper is $1.28 (plus S&H) and it’s not very time consuming if you have handy fringe scissors. It’s just so fun, and my girls love it.

More Valentine’s Day inspiration

This post wouldn’t be complete without some inspiration from some very talented bloggers.

Driven by Decor has created such a beautiful Valentine’s Day table. I especially love all the bright greenery and the idea of serving fondu! Sounds perfect to me.

Stylizimo has the perfect mix of classy and adorable. I just love the little packages at each table setting and the scrabble tiles!

Linen and Ivory has such a simple and pretty tablescape. I especially love the table runner and fabric napkins, and those cupcakes look delicious.

The Shift Creative has such a fun mix of black and white with the traditional red, pink, and peach colors. I love the pipe vase centerpiece and details on this table!

Maison de Cinq has the prettiest white pitcher with tulips to decorate their Valentine’s Day table. I also love the bowls of candy and silver candlesticks!

Home with Holly J has the most gorgeous pastel table setting. I love the eucalyptus, peach rose centerpiece, and table setting layers!
