Tropical DIY Bedside Floral Arrangement

Tropical DIY Bedside Floral Arrangement
I picked up this concrete planter on clearance for $1.99 – it was a total steal, and I couldn’t resist getting it even though I didn’t know what I would do with it. But when Hobby Lobby had all their floral for 50% off, my inspiration was jump started. In order to create a small arrangement, for a low space, that would be compact for this small planter, I focused on selecting three focal florals. I usually like to have the majority of an arrangement be filler to give it size and depth, but in the case of a bedside arrangement, I wanted all focal pieces, and that the planter could be turned in different directions and still be beautiful.

I selected some tropical type flowers, got outside my comfort zone a bit and I’m so happy with the results. I used some leftover gum leaves from my fall wreath arrangement to fill the gaps in my bedside arrangement. I also used some faux thistle because I thought it coordinated nicely and added interest. I think you’ll love how easy it is to arrange three focals for a special touch of color in any bedroom.

The gum leaves are added around the three flowers for balance, texture, and filler.
