Some of my favorite childhood memories are waking up Easter Sunday to find a basket full of goodies. Even though I knew a basket was coming, I didn’t know what it would look like or what would be inside – this is my favorite kind of surprise! I’m very excited to share these awesome Easter basket ideas because I’m not the biggest fan of traditional Easter baskets. I also enjoy an easy DIY craft, so this year I’m going to make my own version of a basket to create Easter baskets for my girls.

The basic concept is to upcycle any container from your kitchen pantry or fridge. Once you cut it down to the size you want, you can cover it with anything, paper being the easiest, and then decorate it with whatever you prefer. I used printer paper, tissue paper, and a polka dot paper bag.

The best thing about some of these DIY Easter baskets is that they either have a long-term purpose (laundry basket, winter beanie) or they can be recycled.
