The Best Recessed Light Converter

The Best Recessed Light Converter

Over a year ago, I spent time and energy figuring out how to convert my primary bathroom recessed lights into pendants. I still love the pendant lights in the bathroom, but I don’t love the process to converting the whole fixture. Lucky for me, and you, I have found an awesome converter to quickly and easily swap out a recessed light into a beautiful pendant light. Worth Home offers just the converter, the converter with many shades to choose from, and decorative vent covers.

I’ve been working on our primary bedroom design for a while now and updating the bedside lighting in this space has really elevated the look. Now that the recessed lights have been converted, I can easily update the pendant shades anytime I want. The recessed light converter took about one minute to install, and it comes in several finishes and a few cord lengths. The converter will only work with the recessed cans that take a bulb that screws into it and the length from the input to the ceiling needs to be 4-6″ deep. Ours our 4″, see the photo below for reference.

Some converters come with a fabric covered cord for extra elegance. The cords easily straightened out after they were hanging for a bit, but you can also use a hair dryer’s heat to reshape any curves in the cord. I selected the antiqued bronze hardware so that it coordinated with our doorknobs and ceiling fan fixture. These converters are only as permanent as you want, they do no damage to your ceiling, and can be installed or removed in a minute. There is no hardwiring necessary to convert these lights. If I want to move my pendants to another location, all you need is a ladder. And if you’ve been with me for even a bit, you know that I love the option to easily change something. The Worth Home recessed light converters are perfect for me.

Worth Home offers just the converter or the complete fixture which is a converter and shade. They offer beautiful fixtures at great prices. I selected one of their new black rattan shades, but I can swap it out anytime with most standard pendant shades. I love the texture the rattan shades add to the space and the black is a nice contrast with my new walls. A blog post on the lime wash walls is coming soon~

I love that our home is full of recessed lighting that I can easily convert one to a pretty pendant and add character and charm to the space. The new Worth Home Pendant lights will be staying in our bedroom for a while, but I also tested them out in a few other places too. Our hallway has two recessed lights, and the pendants look awesome, I really like them down the hallway also. And then my favorite little powder room nook has one recessed light that looks totally different with a pretty pendant giving it some charm. Come to think of it, these would also look great in Sawyers bedroom or above my craft table upstairs. There are so many possibilities and I plan on trying them all out since nothing is permanent.

I absolutely love my new pendants by Worth Home and look forward to enjoying them for many years to come. If you’re looking for an affordable way to elevate your lighting or give your space character and definition, consider this product to save money on an electrician and to easily update your space. Renters can also update their lighting, without breaking their contract, and they can take the pendants with them when they move. I created a short video to show you just how easy installation is and how my new pendants look throughout my home.
